Welcome to Of Revontulet Valley, a Finnish Lapphund kennel where passion and love for the breed are at the heart of every decision we make.
For us, every dog is a true member of the family. Our priority is to offer them a life filled with experiences, love and attentive care.
It all started with Togo coming into our lives, our first Finnish Lapphund. We fell in love with the breed because of their cheerful nature, their incredible closeness to their humans, their sociable personality, but also because they remain a true Nordic dog, with everything that entails!
He truly taught me everything and made me become a better person every day. Thanks to him, I changed my life to become a dog trainer. I developed a real passion for canine behaviour and all its subtleties. It is a world in which you never stop learning, evolving and questioning yourself.
Thanks to Togo, I discovered dog sports and, because yes, the Finnish Lapphund is a versatile dog, we have so much fun discovering and progressing together. Whether it is cani-hiking, canicross, canine fitness, proprioception, mantrailing, skijoring every winter… and we have even tried sheep herding !
Yes, we are true all-round enthusiasts, just like our dogs.
After several years of training, careful research and going through pedigrees, Alva joined us in 2025, much to our happiness, all the way from Sweden, to complete our family. Since her arrival, she has become our little ray of sunshine every day, bringing with her her energy, her zest for life and her unique personality. For us, choosing to import a dog was very important. We wanted to contribute to a beautiful genetic exchange and, on our own small scale, help enrich the breed’s genetic diversity as much as possible.
We regularly take part in dog shows. This allows us to receive different feedback on our dogs in order to understand their qualities, their faults and the areas where they can improve, so that we can make informed choices for our future breeding selection.
For us, it is essential to breed dogs that are as beautiful as they are healthy. This is why we follow all the recommendations of the breed club regarding health screenings and testing.
I would also like to highlight the fact that we are a small family kennel. At the moment, we only have one female. It is crucial to give her proper rest periods between each pregnancy in order to preserve her well-being, which remains our priority. This is why our litters are occasional.
The dogs live with us, as part of our family, so that we can offer them the richest and most complete life possible.
For us, it is essential that every puppy joins the family that is truly right for them. Because yes, we all have different temperaments, passions and lifestyles. There is no such thing as a right or wrong profile: being yourself is all that matters so that we can find the perfect match together!
This is why we choose the puppies when they are old enough, based on your plans and expectations, rather than based on their colour or a simple first impression.
Every decision is carefully considered, and you will be supported throughout this journey, because welcoming a dog into your life is a commitment that will change your life for the next 15 years.
